This 10-day course is for military support personnel required to operate in high-risk environments in support of combat or SOF units. The modern battlefield requires that all units and individuals have the capability of self-defense and effective response to ambush.
Through classroom presentations and extensive practical training, the students will receive instruction on the pistol and the M4 rifle as well as the tactical skills necessary to use the firearms in a combat situation. The course then extends the realism through simulated combat using Simunition ®FX® and live-fire drills.
Training will be conducted during normal working hours; however, portions of the training may extend into the evening hours. The entire course of instruction run in two five-day blocks and the weekend off in between.
