The ACADEMI Shotgun Armorer courses are the only factory-authorized Mossberg law enforcement-certified armorer’s courses. This 2-day course covers the Mossberg 500/590/590DA shotgun systems and provides instruction on how to diagnose and repair malfunctions, return shotguns to factory specifications, perform function inspections, check headspace and more. Offered at the ACADEMI Training Center in North Carolina and at other locations, the armorer training classes are a mixture of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, enabling each student to achieve a high degree of familiarity with the topics covered. After completion of the course, students will be able to repair and maintain Mossberg 500 series shotguns to factory standards. Graduates will be issued a three-year certification, be able to order parts directly from the factory, receive one-on-one factory phone support, and ACADEMI phone and e-mail support.
